🎨 Priming & Spraying Miniatures for Beginners
Want to ensure your miniatures are ready for perfect paint adhesion? Here's a quick guide to the essential process of priming and spraying your miniatures to set the foundation for a great paint job!

Why Should You Prime?
Priming your miniatures is crucial for creating a surface where paint will actually stick and bond to the miniature. Without priming, the paint won’t adhere properly, resulting in uneven coverage and poor durability.

How to Prime Your Miniatures:

1. Choose the Right Primer
Start with a spray-on primer in white, grey, or black. White or grey is ideal for beginners as it offers a neutral base for most paints. If you're painting a dark color like an orc, consider using a green primer to save time on base coating.

2. Shake Your Spray Can
Before spraying, shake your spray can well for about 60 seconds to ensure the paint inside is properly mixed. Test the spray can on some scrap material to ensure it works properly.

3. Apply Light, Even Layers
Hold your miniature about 6-12 inches away from the spray can. Apply the primer in light bursts, turning the miniature around as you spray to cover all sides evenly. Make sure not to apply too much primer at once, or it might obscure the fine details on your miniature.

4. Let It Dry
Allow your miniatures to dry for at least 30 minutes before handling them. Don’t rush, or you might ruin the finish!

5. Correct Mistakes
If you missed a spot or applied too much primer, you can always apply another layer of primer or touch up the areas with a brush-on primer.

Pro Tip: Always spray in a well-ventilated area and use a spray booth or protective covering to avoid overspray. For beginners, avoiding high humidity or extremely cold temperatures is key to ensuring your primer adheres smoothly.
